ut we do know that WE LOVE HER!!!As you can see, she has already made herself an indispensable member of the family.  She’s so hilarious and affectionate!

Thank you!

McCay

Well, McCay and the rest of the Mc litter just turned six years old!  As usual, our beautiful little girl celebrated with a prime rib dinner! She and her “sister” continue to be the love of our lives.  It all would not have been possible without you and everyone at ULPR!  Thanks so much and have a blessed and safe 2022!

blue

Blue so far has been such an amazing addition to our family.  He's great with the kids and has been listening really well.  We've gone on walks and was a perfect boy. He did try to enjoy our pond a little much lol, but it's cold, so I know he will enjoy it more when the weather wamrs up. He shows his teeth in a Super Smile, but I haven't been able to catch it in a picture yet.  He's a Gem on a leash.  He loves all his toys and has already claimed a spot on the couch.  Thank you for taking such good care of him until we were able to meet.

I want to thank you and your organization for letting us rescue Queenie, nowQueenienamed
Josie. She is a sweet love bug. I call her miss wiggle butt. Our first week has been great. Sometimes she’s still a little shy, but I think she’s adjusted quite well. So well that she’s taken over our bed, lol. We are so in love with her, and she’s very generous with her kisses!!

Chatto

Diane, this Miggie, formerly Chatto adopted in January 2020.
He is loved by all, including Sadee, our other rescue.  We now have a great grandson, and Miggie is so patient with him!  I can’t tell you how much we appreciate all you do.  God bless you and your rescue!

We're enjoying learning about their individual personalities. They're doing well with sleeping, walking, and eating separately, though the little one needs some encouragement to eat by herself. They do love to play together, and whatever toy the big one has, the little one has to steal. They are both super sweet and affectionate!

OleneI adopted my beautiful girl, you called Olene, a year ago.  Just wanted to let you know how wonderful life has been with her in it. She is my constant companion and no matter what kind of day I've been having she always puts a smile on my face. When you are around her you have entered what I call a "Happy Zone". When I wake up and she's cuddled next to me, life is all good.

I wanted to send an update on Jenny (now Maggie) who we got in April.  She has fit in
Maggie
so wonderfully with our family.  Our one older dog ended up passing a month after we got Maggie so we ended up getting another rescue puppy in August.  They have become close friends, but Maggie still loves our other older dog…. And she has become my little complain most of all.  She loves car rides and goes many places with us.  We just scheduled our beach vacation and plan to take her with us (since she loves car rides and is my snuggle bug).  She is often beside me, following me, or in-front of the
fireplace.  She has the best personality and loves everyone she meets.

As I write this, I wish you could see the grin on my face. I absolutely adore this big, sweet, gentle, gorgeous dog...aka shedding machine. Luckily a friend told me about the “Furminator”,  a super dog brush (kids’ use only with  supervision) for a shepherd‘s  heavy coat. She looks five pounds slimmer already, and nearly sleek! We do adore this sweet wonderful dog. Thank you for your part in arranging this love affair

Sincerely,Sarah

I wanted to give you an update about Mozart!  He is just such a wonderful little dog.  He has fit in perfectly with our family, and become really good friends with one of my cats, Jimmy.  Mozart and Jimmy sleep side by side on the couch!  Mozart is a great snuggler and loves to burrow under blankets.  Adopting Mozart has been a great experience, and I will recommend your rescue to anyone I know who would like to adopt a dog/puppy.  My husband says Mozart is so smart he understands both Spanish and English.

Diane- We love this dog!!!
Fritz is so amazing. He is nearly house trained, he knows some commands now, and he is learning not to jump on folks. He gets along great with our terrier, Piggy and they play together daily.
Thank you so very much for bringing Fritz into our lives!

All the best to you, Jamie Russell-Smith

We picked up Zurie last night at the North Stonington, CT stop.  She is wonderful.  Thanks so much for sending along the sweater.  She loves the snow, but does not like the cold.  We picked up a windbreaker jacket for her and she seems comfortable when wearing that.  She is very well behaved and is an affectionate young lady.
The immersion pump in our well burned out several days ago and we are using bottled water until the weather eases up and the well can be repaired.  As soon as we get running water, we will wash the sweater and return it to you so another chilly rescue can use it.
Thank you! Bill & Maryann

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We wanted to let you know how wonderful Lotta is doing, she has made our family whole again and we all love her very much. She fits right in, even the cat has accepted her. Her only problem is she does not like the SNOW, it is a four letter word to her and she is praying for spring (only 6 more weeks). Words can't express how much we love her and we want to assure you that she will be well taken care of forever. If there is any way you can let her previous owner know how well she is doing, please do. She has got to have a big whole in her heart having to let Lotta go.

First night went well. They slept the entire night! Elmo and I will be signing up for training lessons, but that is not a problem. He is a kisser! Right now he is curled up in his new bed and getting use to his home. Hercules is right alongside of me as I type. He is Mr. Personality! He did come with a pill and a half in his envelope which said to give it to him upon arrival. I did give him the pill and last night found Tim’s Benedryl so gave him a half pill. Will do again today. Tomorrow I will make an appointment with our vet so they can meet and he can see about poor Hercules’s itching. I think he may have allergies. Our golden did and the vet was able to help him itch far less and feel better. I cannot tell you again how joyful and lively our home is again. These two are fantastic! My mother-in-law cannot wait to get here today to play with her granddogs. Thanks again and look for an email with pictures in the near future.

THANKS TO YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. SHADOW IS A GREAT FRIEND
BOB
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been 11 months since we adopted Baxter(Hipster). We are so in love with him as he is with us. He is well behaved although the stubborn terrier comes out when chasing squirrels or deer. He loves going on walks with Bob or me in meadows near us - boy can he run fast!!!! He has been wonderful with or grandchildren ages 2 to 12. Our four year old granddaughter is his favorite. His best playmate is my daughter’s cavalier spaniel who is the same age. Baxter is still a lover and loves to cuddle. I am amazed the dog has fur on his body because he wants to be petted 24/7. This has been a wonderful experience. Baxter has added a great deal of joy to our lives.
Happy Holidays to you and your staff - Pam Wheeler
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kazoo, (formerly known as Domino,) is doing wonderfully. He settled in very quickly with us and we spent the day playing, running, eating, sleeping, and cuddling. He is the sweetest boy - loves affection, very eager to please, food motivated but not food crazed, patient, amazing with other dogs and all people, and has a slight naughty streak (as all dogs should.) We have formed an instant bond with him. He was frightened of our cat Squishy- he shook and whimpered when he saw her! She gave a slow, dramatic tail thump and a yawn and that was that, so we're hopeful on that front. We managed to give him a quick bath and he is gorgeous- so beautiful and soft. He is a very strong boy so we are working on leash skills (for both human and dog as we aren't used to having a dog on a leash.) He appears to be totally housebroken- we are still doing the bacon thing for now but I think he already gets it. We can't wait for the moment in a few weeks when we can let him run free on the beach. The delivery was intense! He was very scared but it was such a happy moment. The drivers were incredible. I will keep you updated as we go- but so far, SO GOOD!
Thank you so much, -Caty

I thought I'd drop you a note regarding Axie's status. She is just a little love bug with my daughter and I; lots of puppy kisses and snuggling. Overall, she is doing well with Delilah (my 2.5-year-old Yorkie/Poo). I say overall because the two of them are definitely biding for lead dog status. Both Axie and Delilah are reciprocating warning growls and barks and light nips; nothing, however, that seems serious with an intent to harm. Again, they seem to be competing for the position of Chief. Axie definitely isn't intimidated by Delilah and stands up to her as if she was her equal in stature. Housebreaking has been very good overall, with Axie making most of her pottying out-of-doors. Today, however, we are experiencing a rain/snow mixture, and she doesn't want to engage with that. Therefore, today, naturally, has been a set back. From the activities standpoint, she is a fantastic fetcher of toys--a real natural! She gets a little frustrated that Delilah (one very nimble, high-jumper) is often out of her reach (on the bed, chair, etc), so Delilah is an inspiration to Axie to push herself beyond her comfort zone to take on new challenges (stairs, etc). We've continued her on the diet that you began her with, and she is eating well; so I suspect she may have regained a little of her weight. Axie's vet visit is this Friday. Apparently, she is due for another shot, and I will ask the veterinarian when she feels would be an appropriate date for Axie to receive her rabies shot. The vet will also give her an overall physical check. I see what you meant when you said that "Axie is in-your-face, rude-like", but we love her spunky spirit, and she is not unlike Delilah in that way! My goal at this time is to socialize her with as many people and other dogs as possible because I see that she has a very loyal nature to me and Katie, and her first few encounters outside of our home have ranged between either being a little shy with strangers and dogs or outright growling at them (must be the Chihuahua genetics at work there). Otherwise, Axie is a delightful, little sprite, and we look forward to having her as part of our family forever.
Happy Thanksgiving!! - Heather

Just letting you know that Darla May is doing wonderful. She is such a sweet girl. Absolutely no messes in the house going out side on a leash and doing her business walking back in on her own. She is really content, getting up and walking around the house has full run of the house, loves her new bed. Maybe Darla hit the lottery but we hit the jack pot. Can't wait to have her pictures taken with Santa. She has been to the vet and he has given her a clean bill of health other than her heart worm. Her neck is strong and heal over time. She starts her heart worm treatment December 8th. Our vet told us if we don't want her he will take her LOL... Not a chance.Thank you soooo much for letting us adopt Darla.
Take Care, Have a Very Happy Thanksgiving, Scott, Maureen, Lisa and Darla

I just wanted to thank you for finding Elixer for us. She has been doing great in the car, meeting the cat (although the cat is still freaked out), and she understands some basic commands. Again, big thank you to you and ULPR!

From the minute I picked up Luke we immediately bonded! Like you said he is a big snuggler! He really hasn't left my side. I'm so happy to hear that you kept Luke's mom. Our dog passed away 2weeks ago. She was a rescue who was dropped off with 13 puppies, malnourished unable to feed her babies. My boyfriend adopted her and had her for over ten years. She died at home and her loss has been really hard to accept. Luke is such a beautiful boy, he almost looks like a yellow lab dacscund mix. I don't care what his mix is he is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the photos they are so adorable! I will upload my pictures onto the computer and send some this week. Again thank you for rescuing these puppies and Sugar! Without you guys who knows where these puppies would have been! You guys do a great job!!!! Thanks, Melissa

I adopted Parker last week and he is awesome! He has already gained 3 pounds and is running around like crazy. My older dog is so happy to have him around because she lost her 14 year old mommy lab in July. They walk side by side in the park. So adorable. Now our family is complete again. They get walked in the park every day for at least 30 minutes and they are outside with us many times throughout the day. I want to thank you for the wonderful work that you do. You brought him into our lives and we will always be thankful for that. - Barbara Cohen

I'm writing to let you know that Fidget is doing well. She has perked up even since yesterday and has seemed a happier. She has been wagging her tail, romped a bit in the play yard and barked at a green bucket. She even sang briefly with us while my daughter played the harmonica! Although if I had to guess, it reminds her of home and she is singing a bit of the blues. =) Again, I wish to thank you for the excellent vet care Fidget received with you. I took her to a local Veterinarian the day after she arrived, and the staff remarked at least three times about how well Fidget was treated in terms of vaccinations, worm & parasite treatments and other preventative care. I have spoken with other local pet owners who are familiar with adoption agencies, and am delighted to know that Fidget received better than standard attention and loving care. Please extend our appreciation to Dr. Rice at The Family Pet Vet and anyone else who helped take care of Fidget and her litter mates. We are already enjoying Fidget's company, and anticipate many fun days ahead. Of course, I am a nervous mama, and will call or text if I have any other concerns. I thank you for your patience and willingness to be available and answer all of my questions. Warmly, Desiree Stoll & Family

You may not remember me, Diane, but my name is Brian Wacik and we adopted Nemo from your N litter a little over a year ago. Thought of you this morning as we cancelled a day trip we had to the Jersey shore because our guy isn't feeling well (first bout with diarrhea and fever) and we didn't want to leave him home alone all day in case he needed us. He's taken on many of the characteristics of a dog I had and loved years ago, which is a joy to experience for me. But he certainly has a mind of his own at times (the cattle dog in him), although he has excellent manners, is obedience trained and a real lover. Since we adopted him, we moved a few miles away and had my daughter (16) move in with us. He promptly adopted her as his best friend and she's in love with him also. She's sad we can't go to the shore today, but loves him and understands. He had a challenging first year with injuries. While playing with a golden in the snow this past winter, she abruptly turned and bit his ear, putting a little notch in the tip. Bled like crazy and the place looked like a murder scene in the snow. Vet said so long as the bleeding stopped and we kept it clean, no stitches required and he'd just have a little character with his notched ear. It healed fine. Next, while playing with his girlfriend next door (Daisy, a wonderful collie), he broke his toe on his back leg. Again, vet said it's much like a human in that there's not too much we can do, and he should begin putting weight on it within 6 weeks. Only took him 3, and he's as good as ever. In short, this dog you thought would grow to 45-50 pounds is now a tall and lean 70 pounds, and is embedded in our family. He learns fast, loves everyone, and starts each day with a run in the park, chasing bunnies and playing in the stream. We're so grateful for the valuable work you do and can't imagine how on earth you manage the ups and downs of emotions you must feel at times. Thank you so very much! Love, Brian

We'd love to hear how her sisters are doing- Keep up the great work, Diane, you are doing an amazing job.- Dave Gross

Callie (aka Bridey) is just the cutest little puppy! She has quite the personality, being goofy silly! She is settling in well. She now loves going for walks. She is afraid of her reflection and barks at t.v.! (Gotta fix that!) She is a paper thief and thinks that when we put on shoes its play time! She playfully attacks shoes!. We just love her!

Thank you so much for finding Ginger for me. She's sleeping on the couch, while I'm writing this. I love watching her walk on her hind legs and she is just a love and a lover. She sleeps on my bed in her bed. All the traffic noise and the train don't seem to bother her. I talked to Sandy last night and updated her. She eats well and rides well in the car. The transport was great. Ginger was clean and smelled good. She was scared, but we bonded on the 2 hour ride home. Her tail just keeps wagging and she loves belly rubs. Thank you again. Kathie and Ginger.

Diane - Thank you so much for all that you do. Bahati is just precious. Hard to imagine someone tossing him out in the cold. Lakota absolutely loves him and they have already bonded and ran around with each other for the first two hours.

Just wanted to thank everyone involved in getting all the new additions to their forever homes. Hope the transfer route drivers are safe and sound on the road with all the bad weather that hit in their travels. We are very impressed with the rescue family and the foster parents and of corse the transfer company for getting our great little puppy to us and to all the other families. Thank you all so much and have a safe and happy holiday season. Diane; Just wanted to send you a quick line while sitting here on break at work and thank you again for all you folks do. Caroline is an absolute joy Rose and I could not be happier she is such a good girl we had her micro chipped [did not like that one bit] do not blame her. The size of that needle is quite large. She [and Rose] went to doggie school passed with flying colors. She is getting better every day love her very much hope all is well and God bless. Hi there wonderful people! Just wanted to give you a quick update on Jack's progress. His name is now MacDuff and we are in love. He has had some problems with diarrhea for a few days, but a quick trip to the vet and some meds and a bland diet have cleared that up. Probably a sensitive stomach! He is getting acquainted with our 14 week old kitten Romeo, and they are becoming fast friends. His appetite is great and he is the mayor of our town! Everyone loves him and wants to touch him which is great with him. He hasn't gone for the groomer or to get any training yet because of his GI issues and all feel he needs time to adjust without any stress. He is a loving sensitive wonderful presance in our home and has become a dear member of our family. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for all the work you do. All the best, Jo Twiss -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marty Young
Mulligan is a darling! He did mark the house, but only after the neighbor's greyhounds came into the house, and, ironically, he lifted his leg on the box containing our new yet-to-be-installed toilet. So far he has not had any other incidents. He gets along well with the greyhounds and every human he has met. He will be meeting the grandkids on Monday. He still needs to be trained to heel while walking (very interested in chasing squirrels) but he eats politely and allows me to remove unsafe objects (kleenex) from his mouth and allows me to brush him. We have yet to hear him bark. Thanks so much. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Hi Diane, both dogs arrived and are so sweet. We could not be happier. Bruiser slept a bit but Tinker entertained us all running after a ball. We can see why you felt they needed to be together. He follows her all around. My parents have a fenced in yard and we installed a dog door. They go in and out. Door closed at night. They walk on leash great and love to ride. They have attracted alot of attention from the neighbors. So all has been good.We are very lucky to have these two little ones.Thank you Diane and all who made this possible. Pictures to follow soon. - Mary -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hal Davis
What a love bug Isis is! She is exploring her new world. We are slowly introducing her to our make pit bull. She is full of affection and play. Very alert and curious but easy to control. She is a wonderful girl. We will give you more updates and some pics in the coming days. The drivers seemed nice and we gave them a nice tip and some hamburgers from the restaurant. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Diane
Well it has been 2 weeks now since you put me on the bus to find my new home. It was a pretty long scary trip, but boy I'm sure glad I made it!
I now live with Cheryl and Dick and they have been very good to me - lots of hugs, long walks, good food and treats. They call me "Bubba" in honor of my Arkansas roots and I've learned to prick up my ears at the new name. They did take me to the vet, which wasn't so great since I had to get a Lyme vaccine and microchipped, but I know they only made me go for my own good. It turns out I still have worms, but I'm taking some medication to take them away. The food that they give me to wash it down sure is yummy - I've gained a few pounds!
I've had lots of new adventures - ice cubes & rawhide chews are really swell to eat and I'm getting the hang of stairs. I'm still not sure about swimming, but wading and blowing bubbles in the lake sure is fun and it makes Cheryl and Dick laugh a lot. I sure like sitting on the dock, watching the boats & loons and eating sticks. At night I sleep on a big comfy bed right next to them. I've got some new dog friends here - Chelsea, the golden neighbor is really fun to play and flirt with, though she is a little fat. The frogs, birds and deer are pretty interesting too, but because they keep me on the leash I don't get to chase them as much as I would like.
So thanks, Diane to you and all the folks along the way that made my trip to Cheryl & Dick possible. I think I won the dog lottery and they do too.
Your forever friend with gratitude,
Bubba

Hi-just wanted to drop you a line to say thank-you for the best puppy in the world, she is now called Coco (formally Gigi) was 10 lbs 4oz when I picked her up 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago at the vets was 11 lbs. 3 oz. got her shot and now do for her rabbies shot on the 12th of July vet recommended her to be 4 months old for the shot. But she is now about 14 lbs. and doing great almost total potty trained and she starts school on July 30th. She does sit and stay on command already which is very good and shows the great care and attention her foster parents gave her. They had a surprise party for me for my 60th birthday last Sat. and she stayed right in the yard with everyone never wandering and did not bark once with all the strange people she had never met, all of my 6 grandchildren just love her and walk her and play with her and she is great with them. Again thank-you for giving us the chance and the great care your people have done with her, also the transport team was super. Thank-you.... p.s. everyone who meets her can not get over how cute and lovable she is, and that she doesn't bark.

I just wanted to say a big heart-felt thank you to both of you . Idgie (Her new name is Shanti, which means peace in Sanskrit... and I must say the name suits her because she is so peaceful and loving it's amazing.) is absolutely perfect and so incredibly adorable. I am so amazed at what a good, loving puppy she is. That is all to your credit for all the love and care you have given her. She has adjusted immediately and is just a bundle of joy. Words can just not express how happy I am to have her. I lost my Bessie, a bichon- poodle mix two year ago and I just felt like she left a hole in my heart. Little Shanti (Idgie) is just what I needed. Thank you and God bless you for the wonderful service you provide. A huge thanks also to the transport drivers, they are amazing women, just so kind. This whole experience has been just so incredible.I am thrilled to have her home and will definitely recommend you to anyone I know looking for an animal.

Just wanted to let you know that Blondie (now named Goldie) is the most loving, wonderful dog we could ever have hoped for—well behaved, adorably cute, cuddly, and smart. Wherever we go, people comment to us on how beautiful and super-friendly she is. She is the perfect dog for us in every way! Thank you again, and if there's anything I can do to publicize your good work, let me know.

Hello Diane, Just a note to let you know how wonderful it is to have Cherise home with me. She is safe, happy and soooo asleep right now! I have decided to name her Charlie. She is the most loving puppy. Loves toys, the cat, toys, food, toys and more than half the queen size bed. We will send pictures later this week. Thank you for this beautiful baby that sleeps in my arms and follows me everywhere.

We completed our first weekend with Ellie & loved every minute of it. She loves us as much as we love her. Potty training & crate training are going very well. She rode to work with me in her crate. She whined for a bit & then calmed down & enjoyed the ride. She is laying by my feet under my desk as I work. This is her first day of coming to work so far so good. I brought her crate, toys & food with us. Ellie has been snuggling with us in bed at night. On Saturday night we had a wine tasting party at the house & she got to meet a lot of our friends & of course she was a bigger hit than the wine. She eventually went into her crate & laid with her favorite toy while the demonstration was going on. Ellie is great at fetching her ball & bringing it back. She loves to play ball. She isn’t much on her walks. She would rather play ball. She is already letting us know when she needs to potty. Last night she was barking & getting anxious & sure enough we got her out & she did her business. Today I am making an appointment for her to meet our vet Dr. Bonnie & get her shots. Ellie is a lovable, smart, happy puppy, we are very fortunate to have her. I can’t thank you enough for bringing so much joy to our home. We love her very much. Feel free to keep in touch. I will try to keep you updated.

My name is Debbie. I adopted Calvin (Terrier Mix) alittle over two years ago. I have to tell you we are probably happier with our choice more now then when we first got him. Not that the begining was bad, but he is a wonderful dog and we love him more and more each day. He is sooo funny. He is our pool boy, a wonderful 4 wheeler, great football player, and has now mastered basketball, and is learning golf. Of course most of these sports involve a ball and Calvin loves balls. Not only is he a great athlete, he is smart, cute, cuddly and everything we wanted and more. I would recommend your adoption site to anyone searching for a dog. You and your Mom were great and definitely right on with your description of Calvin. Thank You sooo Much for CALVIN, and all you do for the other animals in your care.

Hi Diane, Thank you for calling us on Sunday to check up on Cowboy. We really appreciated it. We just returned to Baltimore. We spent the past 4 days in rural Virginia where Sunny Boy (AKA Cowboy) and Cheryl and I had a chance to get to know each other. He immediately went swimming in 38 degree water (the Coan River) and had a ball. He and our 9 year old cocker spent their days together running along the beach and running through the corn fields. We have all been thoroughly enjoying him, AND APPRECIATE THE FACT HE’S HOUSEBROKEN AND SLEEPS ALL NIGHT. We had out Vet check him out on Monday and he got a clean bill of health. Thank you for helping to bring Sunny Boy into our life. Hopefully it will be a long relationship (at least 16 - 18 years). He’s an absolute delight!!!

My husband, our son and I adopted "Snuggles" in November. I wanted to check in with you, and let you know how AMAZING she's doing. She has adjusted incredibly! She is no longer a timid/shy/scared little pup anymore, she's turned into quite the people person & amazing fit for our little family. Shes done great with our two year old son (they're best friends) and she loves our cat too. She definitely has lost all sight in that right eye (per vets examination) but they feel she will most likely be able to keep it, pending no further damage. Thank you so much for all you & your organization do! We feel very truly blessed to have been chosen as Snuggles' adoptive family! :)
Much love, Cassie, Collin, Weston & Snuggles "Dallas"

HI Diane, ... to tell you how wonderful huckleberry is. He is such a sweet loving dog. Still a little quirky with wood floors and we are still training him with the electric collar. But he loves going for walks and just being with you. he is so timid, I think that may be the real reason why a hunting family got rid of him. He is just sweet with everyone and everything. Your organization is wonderful and I can't thank you enough for helping me bring this sweetie pie into our family.

Diane, I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for us. In the last month Mutley has taken our new apartment and turned it into a loving home. He is the greatest dog I have ever met and I love him more than words can describe. I believe it was truly fate that brought him to us. He is going to graduate from dog class next weekend and I will be sure to send you pictures. He cuddles with us everyday and night. I will try to update you as much as I can and keep sending pictures.
Thank you so much!! We are so grateful for this beautiful gift.

Just a note to let you know we finally arrived home last evening around 8 pm. The pups already seem to be adjusting and seem to want nothing but lots of loving from us. They follow us everywhere we go versus us following them, at least so far. They cuddle together and play lots and seem to love the snow. We have already picked out names, Bailey and Kobe. Kobe, the detective is constantly on the search for new things, while Bailey seems to be content watching him for a bit and then joins with whatever he found.

We are exhausted from our trip, but they slept very well last night and only whined for less than 10 seconds before they fell asleep on their new bed, one giant blanket for now. Bailey is definately the nester as she scratches her area to make it just right. We can't thank you enough for your thorough follow up with us and I'll be in touch later this weekend or week with updates of their status and of course ours as with adjust to our new babies.

Hi Diane,
Happy New Year. I just wanted to tell you that Sugar (We call her "Shug") has been so wonderful. We are all very happy with her as a new addition to our family. The kids absolutely adore her, and she goes between sleeping with my 7 year-old daughter, and sleeping at the foot of our bed. Everyone loves waking to her face-lickings!!! We've had friends over for the various holidays, and she is the hit of the party--jumping from lap to lap. My husband and I cannot believe our good luck in finding her--we're afraid to jinx ourselves by using the "p" word, but she really is perfect.

Thank you for helping to bring her to into our lives!

Hi Diane, I'm fairly certain you've seen the photo of Mr. D and I at the drop-off/pick-up. He's a little charmer but I know it's going to take him awhile to get adjusted. So far, I haven't been able to get him to pee or poop outside and the alternative, well, you know the alternative! Anyway, he loves his stuffed dog and has thrown it around and chewed on it for a half hour or so. I gave him a new bed but he decided it was actually another stuffed animal so he managed to chew and chew until he made a couple of holes. I have a feeling the stuffed dog won't be long for this world either! My friends are going to teach me how to get the photos from my camera to Facebook so I'll be sure to keep you up to date on Dewey's life here. Thanks so much for your patience and consideration and for all the wonderful work you do for critters like Dewey who probably wouldn't have a chance withhout it. Right now he's tossing the stuffed dog all over the living room, chasing it, pouncing on it and actually jumping in the air to land on top of it. I guess he must be getting comfortable. Talk to you soon and Happy almost New Year!!

Diane, Thank you for all the great work you do to rescue the dogs. Sparky has made such a great addition to our family. It has been over a year now and we can't imagine our family without him. Have a Merry Christmas! ((Tell Cindy that Sparky (formerly Randy the little red doxie LOVES the cold weather)).

Diane, Got Orphans, and everyone involved with Unconditional Love... I just can't begin to possibly express how wonderful you and your organization are and how thankful we are that you do what you do.

We picked up Lucy and Ethel on Sunday night, and we could not have asked more more amazing, wonderful dogs. I have had experiences with other organizations "fibbing" about the temperament of a dog just to get them adopted, but took a chance on adopting two big girls without meeting them; choosing to go on the word of someone who I put much trust in, and who went the extra mile to make sure that Lucy and Ethel would be ok with our kitties. These girls could not be closer to what Diane described to us. Big, loveable, cuddly, loyal dogs who don't have the slightest inclination to be mean to our little cats.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you do and for sending us the perfect companions for our family!!!

Just wanted to let you know what a joy Mojo is! It took him about 5 minutes and he felt right at home. We have been taking him for about 6 walks a day.

It snowed here today and he loved it! He has been sleeping with us in bed at night, He wanted nothing to do with the crate! We love him so much! Will keep you posted on him. Sorry we have not called, having to much fun with him!

Thank you Diane for Mojo, he is such a blessing.

Happy Thanksgiving Diane! Hope you get to enjoy your day! Choc chip cookies went out today for you!!!:-) hope you like them!

Chance is great! He's such a good boy! He's so calm & even tempered! I'm not used to that lol! I'm taking him to the vet on tues for a checkup. I get worried that he's not jumping around like a 5 mo old pup would! We did a walk today with a 1 yr old golden and they were wild and all over one another. I was happy to see that. Who knows, my rat terrier is being quite bossy, so maybe he's just being extra cautious! I'll keep you posted. He sure is lovely, and I am already falling in love with him! He's great!

Thx again!!!!

Callie is doing so great. It took her a few days to get there, but she is a bold and fearless snugglebug. She loves her big brother, Mr. Tagomi (another rescue, black lab and american shepherd mix), she loves her kids, Avi (2 years old), Ian, and Emma (both 11), but mostly she loves me the best and follows me around the house, sleeps by my side of the bed, and crawls in my lap for lovin'. She's a great eater, really smart, learning her commands and her name really well. I'll send some pix soon!

Also, we donated to Warm Dog and posted on our fb walls to try and get others to do so as well. Keep us updated! We were thinking about donating to ASPCA but I said I'd rather donate to you because we knew what specific thing the $ would be used for to help dogs.

Just wanted to let you know that Frolics (now Sadie) is doing really well! We all love her and she is such a sweetie.  She is such a little peanut compared to the video! The only thing we've noticed is that she is very fearful of some people and does not like to be left alone.  Hopefully she just needs some more time to become familiar with her new home and become more socialized.  I remember you saying she was picked up as a stray, do you know any more details about her background? We are all curious.  Also, did her brother get adopted? I saw that he was on the transport to Maine.  I so badly wish I could have taken the two of them.

Thank you again for everything you do!

Diane, Thanks for a wonderful animal rescue experience. We adopted "Randy" (Dachshund / Terrier mix) 6 months ago. His new name is Sparky because of his beautiful red coat and that he just has a special spark about him.

He is everything you said he was over the phone and more. What a sweet dog who has fit right in to our family. Our son calls him his "little brother" and they are best buddies.

For anyone out there considering a rescue dog, Diane and Unconditional Love Rescue are great to work with... Sparky is even cuter in person than in the pics and video.

Diane First thank you so much for what you do by rescuing the puppies and dogs and allowing us to adopt them. I adopted Baby Livy 5 months ago and she is happy and healthy and weighs 50 pounds now and is continuing to grow. The videos you take really allowed me to pick out the puppy for our family. We love her so much, but the cat not so much, lol. When we are ready for another family member we will certainly go thru you again. I will post some pics of Livy soon.

At first we were skeptical of adopting a dog that we haven't met, but when we first encountered Mugsy he ran up to me gave me a huge hug and lots of kisses. -- He won our hearts immediately. We couldn't imagine our family without him!

Our dog Mitzy has been a wonderful addition to our family! She is hyper and a loving dog! She knows the command sit and we're training her more commands. She loves giving kisses and likes sitting with us and sleeping right next to us. She loves the outdoors and taking walks. She is a great dog and we're so glad we have her! Thanks Diane and we will share more pictures of her as she gets older!

We adopted Mazzy last June and our best guesstimate at the time was she was about 5 months old. Was a little apprehensive as we originally wanted a puppy but felt very strongly about rescuing a dog and one we heard her story we couldn't say no. Fast forward to today and it has been a most rewarding experience for our family. She's super awesome...loyal to the bone, protective, gentle, loving, funny and in general an amazing dog.... and I swear they know they've been rescued. She hit the lottery with us and we did her. Incredibly smart...like crazy smart..I swear I could teach her to type if I wanted to and incredibly easy to train...would do it all over again in a heart beat.
