Oscar

Things are going great with Oscar (we are renaming him to Max). He has really taken to us quickly and loves following us around, being petted and cuddling with us. He is so sweet and such a good boy. We are working on house training and he did great yesterday and this morning - we've been taking him out a lot. He slept great last night, too. We used the crate and while he didn't want to go in at first, he settled in quickly.

Orson

I thought you'd like a little update on how things are going with Orson in his new home... He is still a bit anxious about being in a new place and getting used to his surroundings. I think he misses you and his siblings a lot, but he is doing well. Orson seems to be bonding with me very well, and you were right, he is so cuddly!! Last night I was in the kitchen making dinner and he curled up on my feet and fell asleep! He is the sweetest, and smartest little pup I have ever had. He has only had two accidents in the house since he has been here, and he even lets me know when he has to go. He will go by the door and whine when its time to go out. I'm so proud of him!! My fiance is a pilot, so her schedule is one week away, then one week at home. She will be able to be home with him all day every other week. On weeks that she is out of town, I am able to come home during lunch to play and take him outside. He is always so happy to see me when I get home! Thank you for taking such good care of Orson while you had him in your care. He is the third member of our little family, and we love him very much. I was able to take him out back this morning for a nice long walk on the trails in the woods. I had to wear snowshoes in the 2+ feet of fresh snow, but he is so little he was able to walk right on top of the snow. He was apprehensive at first, but came around quickly. He got to see a mink playing by the river, and sniffed around a deer trail for a little while, too. I really think he will like it here, especially as the weather gets better. I can't wait until he is big enough to take some longer hikes with me! Again, we can't thank you enough for taking such good care of the little guy, and for giving us the opportunity to make him a part of our family.

I just wanted to let you know Winifred is settling in great. She's sweet as pie and loves to cuddle. She's great with the kids, very tolerant and playful and really loves her big brother Ichabod. They are together all the time and so cute. He's very taciturn by nature, but he's warming up and playing with her great. She's grown so much! Almost twice the size she was when she got here and learning quickly. She's already got sit, down and most of the time leave it, but that's a hard one. We've started working on hand shaking now too :) Thank you again for taking care of our sweet baby when she needed you most. We love her. I'm not sure how to post on the facebook page, but feel free to use this picture there or on your website. They're so cute together!

Olive

This is Kari, Krista's friend that is fostering Olive. Just wanted to give you an update that Olive is doing awesome. She has really taken to my dog, Bill Murray, and vice versa. She even goes into play bows with him! Her tail has already started wagging a lot more since she's been here and today she did AWESOME at the dog park with us and Krista and her pups and all the pups she met there. She has shown me how truly remarkable and forgiving the spirit of dogs are as she is just so sweet and wonderful. We picked her up and put her on the bed tonight (we don't want her jumping and hurting herself) and she and Bill snuggled and she fell asleep on his head and he fell asleep with her on his head. We're taking good care of her and we thank you so so so very much for all you do for so many dogs, and in turn how your selfless kindness reminds me that there are still good people in the world. Hi! just an update Ophelia (olivia) is officially potty trained!! Only took her one week! She's been doing great she loves our porch to just lay in the sun like a little lion I say.
